Hecker is a mad man. Obviously. This new double 10" of send-you-to-the-nuthouse computer music and bizarre vocal manipulations finds Hecker in fine form. Cyclical passages of sharp, pointed tones richochet around and around, slowly evolving as they plink off the inside of your skull. Micro-melodies click along, dispersing into binary debris. At other times, the wooziness will make you feel off-balance and generally disoriented. It's all very strange and all very rewarding. The counterpoint to these clinical exercises is loops of spoken text, deconstructed and reassembled in new and interesting, rhythmically-driven ways. This is one of the strangest and most interesting releases I've heard in a while. Totally out of this world. - Brad Rose, Experimedia
